Airline and Commercial Pilots is a person who perform duties by operates the flying controls of an aircraft. Below are the step by step to guide you to take a first step on becoming an airline pilot.
1) Meet The Requirement
First you need to check the requirement if you can meet the requirement to become a cadet before apply for enrollment from any fly academy.
2) Choose And Apply For Flying Academy
To become a pilot, you need to apply to become a cadet in any Flying Academy available locally or internationally. There are several type of flying license that you can apply such as Private Pilot’s License (PPL), Commercial Pilot’s License (CPL) / LR (APTL), Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) and Upset Prevention & Recovery Training (UPRT).
3) Gain Flying Hours
In flying school, you will undergo a short training period and be given the rank Cadet Pilot which will involve ground training, observation of flights, simulator testing, line training which would amount close to 12 months (this depends on the proficiency of the cadet and how long he/she will take to clock in the hours).
4) Work as a Pilot
All pilots must begin somewhere, and major airline companies will not hire inexperienced pilots. Generally, pilots hired at major airlines have around 4,000 hours of experience flying commercial planes. Most pilots employed with commercial airlines work as co-pilots and obtain additional experience through this position.
5) Becoming an experience pilot
Working as a pilot gives you the opportunity to travel to many places as long as you are physically capable of it.
